“Commitment is a beautiful dream, isn’t it?” She asked.

He answered her plea,
“That’s all that it will ever be,
An otiose child of love,”
She knew quite well of what he spoke of.

But there were no excuses for this man’s harsh reply.
She saw right through his walls of impenetrable supply,
And knew his fear confined him into isolation…
Not contention.

So as he just stood there,
Petrified by a woman of her caliber,
She transcended a glistening glow
As her ethereal spirit left him below.

And all that remained was regret
Due to his antiquated reluctance,
Feigning omnipotence
Claiming it was for the best…
