sMiley Returns!

I love how Miley’s new single makes me feel so happy! As an empath, I believe I can feel the emotion that an artist tries so hard to convey in their works of art. She had a rough several years in which she felt she had to prove she wasn’t just this country girl, but then I think she realized that there was no shame in where she came from or even experimenting with a different palette of music, for that matter. If you notice her hair in “Malibu,” you can see where the blonde ends and her natural hair begins again. I saw symbolism in that. It makes me happy to see others happy. 😇🎈😍❤

Tribute for Batman

Arkham_Batman.png

Batman is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, and first appeared in Detective Comics #27 (May 1939). Originally named “the Bat-Man,” the character is also referred to by such epithets as the “Caped Crusader”, the “Dark Knight”, and the “World’s Greatest Detective”.

Bruce and I are in love. I would hunt down and kill his parents’ murderer if I could. But that wouldn’t resolve anything. It would go against his morals to never kill anyway. There’s no doubt that Batman is tough and intimidating but like most men, he garners a guarded heart. I’m so glad the existence of Robin humanized my love before I got to him. Batman is an amazing father figure and he’s rich as hell! He’s my sugar daddy. And I could learn quite a few things from him. If Damien fails to uphold the mantle as the newest Robin, then I have no problem being the fifth male Robin. I gotta take it one day at a time.

image

The Batman and The Joker are two sides of the same coin. They both went through trauma that led to each of them making a choice to either oppose the darkness or to become the darkness. Bruce Wayne’s parents were murdered right in front of him when he was only 8 years old and he fell into a bat-infested well at around the same time period. Joker (his real name is unknown for it was irrelevant in regards to Batman mythos) got fired from his career due to corruption, his pregnant wife was murdered, and he fell into acid which made him look the way he does today.

image

His legacy is widely known so I must have competition. All throughout his crusade, he has come across a lot of women who toyed with his heart. But only a man can know what a man wants. That’s where I come in. Or rather where he cums in. Lol.

image

Look at these sexy ass dudes trying to be him. Fuck them! They’re just mere living sex toys compared to the one true Dark Knight. Still, I think #2 wore it best mainly because he’s showing off the most skin. I could mess with him in the meantime until Batman can regard my existence.

Hello to my pretty fallen angels! Sorry I haven’t been posting as frequently as I usually do. I have been so busy. Amongst the many things on my plate, I have been preparing for my first ever drag show as my alter-drag ego, Seductress! I got my nails and eyebrows done. My body is hairless everywhere except my scalp. I mastered the art of wearing heels and better yet, wearing them as I enact my perfected dance routine. I already bought my costume with its black and red color scheme. Makeup will be done the same day by a troupe of very talented makeup artists. ComiQueens, half-video game tournament and half-drag show! Wednesday is the big day! Don’t worry, my fallen angels, I have been working on a literary love shrine for Batman, a co-blog collaboration, and I will definitely post pictures and videos of the big night! Have a wonderful day! Over and out.

An Excerpt from TPC

The heat of the battle was surging through him. A war cry was released yet it disappeared almost as soon as it was created. There was no reason to live this.

A bomb in his grasp was nearing to the end of its life. He looked this way and that. There was no way to get rid of it without it being near his friends.

The battlefield where the battle took place was huge; it was as colossal as the mass of Planet Earth. There wasn’t one square inch where there wasn’t any bullets flying through; heading towards the death of the shooter’s opposition.

He knew that if he moved an inch, he would be vaporized in the line of fire. The man developed confusion, and soon he would give up and let himself perish into oblivion.

Then there was a woman that suddenly appeared several feet away. She was in the line of fire. On that very second when she appeared, hundreds of bullets passed through her. She was a ghost.

The woman wasn’t very old, eighteen or nineteen years of age. She had auburn hair, milky chocolate going down a vigorous mountain trail. The teenager wore a black, leather coat over a green tank top. Blue denim jeans with slits on the knees were worn upon her sleek, slender legs. She had dress shoes on, and black earrings and bracelets that matched them. Her dark brown, beady eyes made all her beauty transfigure into something lethal.

The man’s eyes dwelled on hers for what seemed like forever. But according to the timer on the bomb, only a minute had passed by.

Once he found out that the strange being in front wasn’t real, he gazed upon the stars and prayed one last time.

“Almighty Zeus,” he said, “I, Felix, want you to know that you have chose the right man to be a part of the Heaven’s Angels. The group represented the hope and faith you had for existence even when all the Gods were losing the war between Hades and the others. I am man enough to admit defeat, and I thank you for the opportunity for having me in your aid! My job is done; wish me a grand new life.”

The bomb said “thirty seconds”.

“Are you a being of promise, of word?” he said to the mysterious woman floating gently barely above his area of vision.

She nodded.

“Tell my love, the sweet Emma Jones that I don’t want to see her cry. I only wanted her to be happy. Will you tell her that? You ought to!”

He reached his hand toward hers maybe she can rescue him. They both knew that she couldn’t, and she watched in tears as the bomb finally ignited.

His body was bathed in flames. Bubbles erupted from his body, and he was screaming for his life. The man didn’t expect such a subtle way to die.

The air pressure and the limited amount of oxygen in each square mile of the outer space made Flex glide lifelessly elsewhere.

Veronica witnessed the dead angel’s body drift away.

Update On The Co-Blog Collaboration

Hello to my hyped fallen angels! Last time I spoke of the co-blog collaboration experiment, I introduced the fact that me and Jason will be working together to create an ongoing dialogue about various topics starting from the LGBT Community and then branching off to unpredictable venues. The reason why we’re starting there is because we want to enact a civil, nonjudgmental discussion about it from a gay guy’s point of view (me) as well as a deeper understanding from a straight guy’s point of view (Jason). We were aiming to officially begin the infantile stages of the conversation yesterday or today. However, my friend has been under the weather lately. Even though his health is not 100% right now, he managed to write an update from his perspective. Check it out! Jason is a very determined person who lets nothing get in his way from doing what he wants to do. He’s very excited, hell, we both are! We both have an idea as to how the cross-blog will begin but we have no idea  where the chit-chat will lead. Until he fully recuperates, I will continue to post on my blog as frequently as I always do. He’s more into video game reviews and I’m more into poetry. So check out our first posts on the matter: My first Co-Blog Collaboration Teaser and Jason’s Exciting News! Until the next episode, I wish you all a wonderful day! Over and out.

My first Co-Blog Collaboration (Teaser)

Hello to my fallen angels! I am pleased to share with you all that blogging has benefitted me in so many ways, including making a new friend with a fellow WordPress blogger. I was Jason’s first follower on his blog. There was a time he felt discouraged and wanted to delete the remnants of his blog altogether. Yet I convinced him to keep noobdungeon going. I am really excited to see where this co-blog collaboration goes. It’s rare to find a kindred spirit with an open-mind so that when a disagreement ensues, a dispute won’t take place but instead, an exchange of knowledge and perspective.

I always look forward to reading my stat page because my fallen angels make me feel alive. No one on Facebook or in my real life appreciates my work as much as you all do. It’s pleasant for me to see all your likes and comments for no one is obligated to do those things for me. I’ve been trying to be more social and less introverted. This project will help me get just a bit more out of my comfort zone. I’m not going to spoil the content of what it is that we’re going to be discussing as each episode takes place. On the bright side, I can say that this will be something very new and unusual for me. Hopefully, this experiment will prove to be something that a lot of people will come across.

Noobdungeon(check out his intro post here) is much different than mine as far as what we blog about, but we both do it for the same reason. Jason is a great video game critic, which I consider to be really cool. I’ve done a few critic reviews on random tv shows and video games but he can easily be mistaken as a professional critic! His posts are unbiased which means he clearly points out the good and bad in any of the games he reviews. Jason even does regular giveaways for various video game merchandise! He’s very generous and insightful like that.

This is going to be something that neither of us has really done before, but I have a feeling this is going to be something that both of us will benefit and grow from. Maybe we’ll get feedback and input from others as well. And because of the seriousness and profound subject matter, we’ve agreed to make this as sophisticated and informative as possible. I’m siked!

Stay tuned! We’re currently in the early process of outlining this adventure, but I hope you all will participate – it should be really fun. I would like to think it will be revolutionary but it’s healthier to not place such high expectations on such a new project.

Thank you all for reading yet another one of my amazing posts. Have a wonderful day, my hyped fallen angels! To be continued…

Steven Universe took my breath away!

image

My new favorite show on Cartoon Network!

Steven Universe is an American animated television series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. It is the coming-of-age story of a young boy named Steven, who grows up with three magical aliens, the “Crystal Gems” Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl, and helps them protect the world from their own kind. A part of Cartoon Network Studios’ artist-driven “Shorts Program”, Steven Universe is the first Cartoon Network series to be created by a woman, and was developed by Sugar while she worked on the Cartoon Network series Adventure Time. It premiered on November 4, 2013.

image

The Crystal Gems (from left to right): Pearl, Garnet, Steven, and Amethyst

The series begins with a boy named Steven Universe whose raised by three female aliens who form the group, The Crystal Gems. Garnet is the leader of the group. She’s the powerhouse and most wisest of the team. Pearl acts as the mother to Steven and Amethyst. She specializes in swordplay and is the most agile of the Crystal Gems. Amethyst is the wild child who often plays around with Steven. An aunt-figure to Steven whose weapon of choice is the whip. Steven, himself, is the child of the late Rose Quartz. Like his mother before him, Steven is a kind-hearted and compassionate person who relies on shields, force fields, and healing spit to aid the team. In the first season, he doesn’t know how to control his powers but season two conveys growth in his overall character.

image

The show revolves around Steven Universe, a young boy whose learning to harness his power inherited from his mother, Rose Quartz.

The Crystal Gems each have a gem they were born with somewhere on their person. (i.e. Steven’s bellybutton, Garnet’s hands, Pearl’s forehead, Amethyst’s chest). They are not human but part of an alien race composed of entirely female-looking yet asexual creatures who have humanoid bodies. They can develop relationships with each other. Viewers and the media often mistake the show has having to do with lesbian superheroes. Steven is half-human and half-Gem. His father was a human man named Greg and his mother was the former leader of the Crystal Gems before Garnet.

image

Steven's parents, Greg and Rose Quartz. Both good people. Beautiful love story!

The love story between Greg and Rose Quartz was very touching. It added a real, emotional aspect to the show. Although Rose didn’t survive Steven’s birth, the show occasionally flashbacks to when she was still alive. Her role in the team, her loving personality, and how she met and fell in love with Steven’s father. As you can see from the pictures, she was a large, pink-haired woman. Beautiful and endearing character who once thought humans were to be seen as pets rather than equals. It wasn’t until she met Greg that she realized the true importance of mankind.

image

Rose had to sacrifice her life to give birth to her son, Steven. She was the leader of the Crystal Gems and will be cherished forever!

Present day in Steven Universe, the team fights all sorts of creatures and spontaneous catastrophe. And the bridge between Earth and the Gems’ birthplanet was once severed until the evil ruler of their race starts to invade Earth. Other characters are added into the fray such as Connie (Steven’s love interest), Greg, a pink lion, and so many more! It has its hilarious moments as well as the more serious, heartfelt times where I actually shed a few tears.

Overall, I never thought a show on Cartoon Network can make me feel this way. I thought all the good shows were done like That’s So Raven or Rugrats or Dexter’s Laboratory, but Steven Universe has given me hope that tv shows nowadays are not all doomed to suck. So thanks so much for reading and have a wonderful day, my fallen angels! Over and out.

The Legend of Korra: A random review

image

The Legend of Korra is an animated American television series set in the Avatar universe as a sequel series to Avatar: The Last Airbender. The premiere episode aired on Nickelodeon on April 14, 2012. The series ran for fifty-two episodes, completing its run on December 19, 2014.

Both series take place in an alternate world where humans have control over one of the four elements: fire, water, earth, and wind. The world is split between four nations that each live by the respective elements. The original series made it clear that each nation did not get along. The avatar of each generation has the ability to learn to manipulate all four elements and their sole destiny is to save their world from calamitous forces. However, the sequel series based on Avatar Korra, the people all live in sync regardless of their innate abilities. But it doesn’t stop the writers from fabricating new villains and other threats to the protagonists’ cause.

image

This series starts seventy years after the end of the Avatar: The Last Airbender story arc with brand new characters and settings. The protagonist of the new series, Korra, the Avatar after Aang, is a hot-headed and rebellious young woman from the Southern Water Tribe who is “ready to take on the world”. The series follows Korra as she faces the difficult challenges, duties, and responsibilities that come with being the Avatar.

The first several episodes set up the setting and introduces the main characters by spontaneous encounters. Mako and Bolin are two brothers who were orphans after their parents were murdered by a fire-bender. They crossed paths with Korra and the three of them became friends. Mako is also a fire-bender while his younger brother is an earth-bender. Soon enough, another character named Asami joins the group. Although she’s not a bender, she proves to be quite a valuable addition to the team regardless. And further complicates the dynamics between the teammates due to gender clash. They are occasionally accompanied by Tenzin, Aang’s son. Each season is called a book that each focuses on a different antagonist. Dictators and evil spirits and relationship issues,

oh my!

image

What I like about this show:

It was interesting how this series protruded insight and a foundation from the original series while establishing its own uniqueness at the same time. Korra is nothing like Aang, the previous avatar. She’s female, to start things off… lol. She begins the series already knowing how to bend (bend=manipulate btw) fire, earth, and water while Aang began with only air. So the whole structure of the series differ just because of that alone. Korra isn’t traveling the world to learn new abilities but instead, focuses on more mature themes such as love, heartbreak, cordiality, sacrifice, spirituality, and faith in internal and external forces. I loved the more darker premise to the series compared to Aang’s story also.

What I hate about this show:

I wish the series would have lasted longer. Because each book had the minimum amount of shows a season could have, I felt like it could have easily lasted longer. Besides that, some of the characters were annoying or didn’t develop much throughout the series until right near the end. Although I just started watching book three, there’s nothing else bad I say… so far.

Overall score: 8.7/10
