No One Told Me

No one told me
We’re all diamonds
Taking shape
Everyday

No one told me
My reach extends far
Everything I want
Is just a dream away

No one told me
We sporadically permeate
Playing freely
Like stars in the night

No one told me
We all enthrall such precious magic
Brewing beauty in its depths
And that it can stay

No one told me
Under all this pressure
Under all this weight
Paradise isn’t just surreal

No one told me
We are all legends
We all need each other
Loneliness isn’t real

No one told me
I don’t have to die by sunlight
Only I own me
And that’s okay, my friend

No one told me
We only live once
In this grand adventure
You make me feel alive again

Anyone is capable of great benevolence and great evil,
Good deeds are hardly altruistic,
But they’re still good deeds,
No matter what background –
Or terrible upbringing –
You may blame for being half-alive.
Even in the deepest depths of despair lies such a benign unknown,
The beauty in this world indeed exists.
I’ve witnessed it a few times myself.
It may seem nugatory and scarce,
Yet losing faith in the beautiful uncertainties in life
Would hurt tenfold compared to any pain that evil can ever inflict upon you.
You are entitled to your own destiny.
The fork in the road lies bare
To a flow chart of decisions.
So where will you go from here?

GAIA

Viscous fluid flow of umbral arms stretch desperately,
Confined to the roots of mustard trees sown asunder long ago,
Reaping its reward of dissociation, from man’s destruction,
Branded for eternity while blades of grass dance convivially,
Content while arching their necks to see the bright side of the darkness,
Shade rebukes the fate of the underbrush withering away,
Rays of sunlight ebb down between the reincarnated leaves,
Resilient viridescence,
Embrace their fears,
For my Mother Earth instructs her offspring of perseverance

Positive Resurrection

Smoldering alcove due to his presents presence,

His caramel skin lathered in a silky hew hue,

My empathic shield braking breaking decayed senescence,

Feminine voice laze lays with masculine hearts imbue

Love stains savored by lingering dark-brown stairs stares,

A pear pair of golden valleys caressed sensually,

Constructing a conversation full of suite sweet cares,

Existentialism will loos lose its portentous hold on me eventually

Hetero-crush

She shows shimmering shadows shrouding her shining eyes,
Piercing pondering peek I sneak perpetually perceived,
Beautiful brunette brutality reinvents bountiful brilliance,
Literary little lady lavishingly lessen the labels’ lament,
Creative cat creature cream of the crop cultivating captivation,
Truly tethered to tactical text transcribed tentatively,
Wonderful woman willingly wandering around my world,
Absolutely annointed with abstract antiquity aspiring apparatus,
Madam medley merely making me more and more muddled,
For finally finding a female friend fretting away my faggot finesse

Steven Universe took my breath away!

image

My new favorite show on Cartoon Network!

Steven Universe is an American animated television series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. It is the coming-of-age story of a young boy named Steven, who grows up with three magical aliens, the “Crystal Gems” Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl, and helps them protect the world from their own kind. A part of Cartoon Network Studios’ artist-driven “Shorts Program”, Steven Universe is the first Cartoon Network series to be created by a woman, and was developed by Sugar while she worked on the Cartoon Network series Adventure Time. It premiered on November 4, 2013.

The Crystal Gems (from left to right): Pearl, Garnet, Steven, and Amethyst

The series begins with a boy named Steven Universe whose raised by three female aliens who form the group, The Crystal Gems. Garnet is the leader of the group. She’s the powerhouse and most wisest of the team. Pearl acts as the mother to Steven and Amethyst. She specializes in swordplay and is the most agile of the Crystal Gems. Amethyst is the wild child who often plays around with Steven. An aunt-figure to Steven whose weapon of choice is the whip. Steven, himself, is the child of the late Rose Quartz. Like his mother before him, Steven is a kind-hearted and compassionate person who relies on shields, force fields, and healing spit to aid the team. In the first season, he doesn’t know how to control his powers but season two conveys growth in his overall character.

The show revolves around Steven Universe, a young boy whose learning to harness his power inherited from his mother, Rose Quartz.

The Crystal Gems each have a gem they were born with somewhere on their person. (i.e. Steven’s bellybutton, Garnet’s hands, Pearl’s forehead, Amethyst’s chest). They are not human but part of an alien race composed of entirely female-looking yet asexual creatures who have humanoid bodies. They can develop relationships with each other. Viewers and the media often mistake the show has having to do with lesbian superheroes. Steven is half-human and half-Gem. His father was a human man named Greg and his mother was the former leader of the Crystal Gems before Garnet.

Steven's parents, Greg and Rose Quartz. Both good people. Beautiful love story!

The love story between Greg and Rose Quartz was very touching. It added a real, emotional aspect to the show. Although Rose didn’t survive Steven’s birth, the show occasionally flashbacks to when she was still alive. Her role in the team, her loving personality, and how she met and fell in love with Steven’s father. As you can see from the pictures, she was a large, pink-haired woman. Beautiful and endearing character who once thought humans were to be seen as pets rather than equals. It wasn’t until she met Greg that she realized the true importance of mankind.

image

Rose had to sacrifice her life to give birth to her son, Steven. She was the leader of the Crystal Gems and will be cherished forever!

Present day in Steven Universe, the team fights all sorts of creatures and spontaneous catastrophe. And the bridge between Earth and the Gems’ birthplanet was once severed until the evil ruler of their race starts to invade Earth. Other characters are added into the fray such as Connie (Steven’s love interest), Greg, a pink lion, and so many more! It has its hilarious moments as well as the more serious, heartfelt times where I actually shed a few tears.

Overall, I never thought a show on Cartoon Network can make me feel this way. I thought all the good shows were done like That’s So Raven or Rugrats or Dexter’s Laboratory, but Steven Universe has given me hope that tv shows nowadays are not all doomed to suck. So thanks so much for reading and have a wonderful day, my fallen angels! Over and out.

Samus Aran: Bounty Huntress

Watch “Samus Aran (Metroid): The Story You Never Knew” on YouTube

Hello my drowsy fallen angels! Today’s post is a bit different than my usual ones. This is about the Metroid series from Nintendo. Nintendo has three mascots, not just Mario. These icons represent past, present, and future. Link (The Legend of Zelda) represents the past, Mario represents the present, and Samus Aran (Metroid) represents the future. My favorite of the three is obviously Samus. I attached a YouTube video about the origin of Samus Aran: Bounty Huntress. She is so beautiful. I think if the protagonist of the Metroid series was a guy, I wouldn’t be as interested. Which is ironic because I’m not attracted to women lol. Guys go crazy for Zero Suit Samus. But I prefer her in her Varia Suit for a less than ironic reason. She’s so strong and resilient. Her backstory is the darkest out of the majority of all other Nintendo characters. Usually blonde women in cartoons or video games are airheads or damsels in distress, but Samus broke that cliche into pieces. Samus Aran is so mysterious which intrigues me even more. In a way, she reminds me of myself. Resilience and beauty. I can definitely relate to those things. Her mystery shrouds her ever so lovely. With the exception of The Other M, which made her look weak and undesirable. Anyway, check out the vid and tell me what you think. Have a wonderful day! Over and out.

Life: Break down. Get up. Repeat.

Good morning to my sleepy fallen angels! I love Sundays. It’s good to set aside one day a week to train myself spiritually by going to church. Lord knows I needed church this week. I had a hard time all week long. But I am okay now. I was taking a shower before I went to church earlier today and I was suddenly very aware of the shampoo and conditioner. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Like life. Break down. Get up. Repeat. Our daily lives are busy. Whether it’s school or work or anything else, we are doing the best we can to establish our place in the world. Rest. Repent. Love. Beautiful words I include in my daily prayers. My ex’s altrustic ways must have rubbed off on me somewhere along our past relationship. I wasn’t always happy or hopeful. I was once deep in rock bottom. So many things contributed to my rebirth. I am always grateful because I never lose in life. I either win or I learn, never neither, sometimes both. Break down. Get up. Repeat. Resilience is how long it takes for you to get up after you break down. Anyway, I saw this post on Facebook recently that asked if your ex and your phone were hanging off a ledge, which one would you save. Comments below were so vile. “My phone, duh!” Or “I can live without my ex but not without my phone.” How evil is that? Your ex is another human being regardless. You can always buy another phone. We are all human beings. We all have our internal struggles. I have mentioned this before but I can’t stress that enough. If someone betrays you, pray for them. If someone is rude to you, pray for them. Don’t hate one another. We all break down, get up, and do it all over again. Forgiveness is so damn beautiful! I care about everyone at all times. I’m not saying this just because I’m in a good mood right now. Life is short. And for someone to hold grudges and remain close-minded their whole life is a tragedy. That description reminds me of my mother. My childhood was violent and miserable. Just to live past 18 was a true accomplishment and bountiful blessing on my behalf. Then again, some mothers throw their babies in dumpsters or get abortions so my fate could have been much worse. I forgive my mother. But I can’t find her. She disowned me and then moved away without telling me where. So I forgive her to let go of the scared child inside and move forward towards the oriented. So live up to your responsibilities and allow yourself to break down sometimes. The sooner you do, the sooner you can get up once more. It’s okay to not feel okay sometimes. Allow God in your heart, your life, and He will show you the way to salvation. I realize that is the ONLY way. Have a wonderful day! Over and out.

Heaven is locked up in those bones of his

There once was a man who came up to me,
And introduced himself so politely,
As he also sat on the wooden bench,
He was aware of our boundaries,

In response I told him my name,
We shook hands and we smiled the same,
30 minutes past until the bus came,
He asked me if I’d go home or if I’d rather stay,

I decided the latter and we went on a date,
Went to the movies until it got late,
We exchanged numbers a bridge we create,
It was love at first sight that seemed like fate,

He was such a handsome gentleman,
It was two months before we held hands,
He was so afraid to make his move,
But when he did all doubt he removed,

In six months’ time he confessed his love,
Every time he spoke angels sang from above,
Everyday words turned into love songs,
Butterflies came back when I thought they were gone,

Everyone else thought he was a bad guy,
But I knew for a fact he had love trapped inside,
I clawed at his walls til my nails bloody raw,
Was he always so guarded before I never saw,

Two years has past since the day we first met,
So much has happened since that fateful event,
He wasn’t the same man I once fell hard for,
Evil encased his heart but not to his core,

His views on the world had changed so much,
So cold and defeated became his touch,
I tried so hard to save him from the dark,
But of to no avail shadows made their mark,

Paranoia and apathy took over him,
The light he once garnered grew so dim,
So eventually I had to let him go,
His love or lack of it thereof,

He was my first love I’ll never forget,
The good times we shared I’ll never regret,
He saved my life with just one kiss,
And now he’s gone a man I’ll forever miss,

His altruistic ways will always live on,
In me his memory as bright as the Sun,
It’s tragic that this love was dismissed,
Heaven is locked up in those bones of his
