No One Told Me

No one told me
We’re all diamonds
Taking shape
Everyday

No one told me
My reach extends far
Everything I want
Is just a dream away

No one told me
We sporadically permeate
Playing freely
Like stars in the night

No one told me
We all enthrall such precious magic
Brewing beauty in its depths
And that it can stay

No one told me
Under all this pressure
Under all this weight
Paradise isn’t just surreal

No one told me
We are all legends
We all need each other
Loneliness isn’t real

No one told me
I don’t have to die by sunlight
Only I own me
And that’s okay, my friend

No one told me
We only live once
In this grand adventure
You make me feel alive again

The Ritual

Good morning to my addicted fallen angels! Feel free to partake a generous portion of pure selfish indulgence today! Whether it’s liquor or cigarettes or food or sex or even love. But despite all the loved ones in our lives that we hold dear, aren’t we all just selfish and alone? Maybe I’m just paranoid or maybe I’m a bit touched in the head but from my life experience as of now, I realized that you can never know, trust, or rely on someone 100%. Perhaps some of us cannot accept these harsh truths. And maybe this theory doesn’t only have to do with people. Co-dependency and always feeling like it’s not enough is where addiction is born and forged into our minds. Some of us who have acknowledged our unique addiction tend to gravitate towards anonymous meetings if they choose to seek help. Unfortunately, sometimes an addiction exists yet is never treated or even admitted by the addictor. So they continue to let their addiction consume them as it gets bigger and bigger and harder to control. Some even think it’s the norm. The ritual revolving around the seven deadly sins peaks the most interest. Let’s be honest: Overeat. Seek vengeance. Hookup with a sexy stranger. Don’t go to church. Pity those who are less fortunate. Always get more than you need. Backstab a friend for they have what you don’t. We all do it but that doesn’t mean it’s good for you. If you have an addiction to anything, seek help immediately because it will only get worse if left untreated. I have been discussing addiction in a few of my previous posts because, personally, I have come to realize that I have a certain type of addiction too. If you read any of my archives, you’ll probably figure it out yourself. Have a wonderful day! Over and out.

Green Heart

“Don’t pity your peers,
You still have a lot to learn too,
Differed generations clash not blend,
Subtlety enamored in the crowd,
Usual escape for you haven’t shielded today,
Try walking somewhere other than main street,
Abandon the path most traveled by,
Explore the outskirts beyond your comfort zone,
Cast fear aside along with its proud mate,
Sustain compassion and love without its arrogant facade,
We’re all human subconsciously confiscating ourselves,
To please ambivalent people who seem to never stick around,
Shameless unconditional respect for your brethren,
High school never ends unless you initiate its demise,
Monogamy and polygamy are matters of opinion you suppose,
Wonder how your actions may harm someone in the crossfire,
Lived in the same place your whole life yet never trekked beyond the course of routine,
Turn off the music meandering through the bundled up wires,
Plugged into your ears to listen to the birds calling out for attention,
Say hello to the child you tend to misread,
Allow external forces to peek past your stubborn paranoia,
Seek refuge in the ones who stuck around through the precipitation,
Unlock your crown and the organ nested below,
The more you learn the more you realize how naive you really are,
Just another subject to trials and tribulations no exception,
You may want to absorb his pain just so he feels better,
But you are your own top priority, The weight of the world is not your burden to bare,”

My heart whispers to me during these chronic sleepless night,
But these lessons of life didn’t just materialize out of thin air,
They were written at its core beneath the depths of denial,
Etched onto make-believe stone unveiled,
Once the Sun bleeds onto the surface of the lake in bright hues,
Morphing into darker shades til the horizon exerts the cold hard truth

Infinite Limitation

Better to live life a blissful human,
Than a lonely vampire left in ruin,

My mortal life is a wrinkle in time,
An anamorphic leviathan easily slain,

The woman stood before me,
So cold was her gaze,

Fear took hold of my psyche,
No more than a bug under her power,

But there is one thing we have in common,
Depression and sorrow drowns Sunday’s sermon,

She can end my life in the blink of an eye,
But who will put her out of her misery?

It was wrong for her to look down on the lamb,
A shepherd she became involuntarily,

I bit and never cooperated,
But she should have been patient regardless,

My wool as soft as the meadow dew,
Below and in between her toes,

Easily she walked away,
And left me to fend for myself,

Faith allows the mustard seed,
To grow into everlasting glory,

She gave up but I no longer need her,
Yet love is a must and I must indulge,

Pride insists itself on me,
For I can die while she lives unhappy

If you can’t beat ’em, keep trying

Good evening to my accomplished fallen angels! How are you doing? So have you ever acknowledged your good and evil sides? Do we start from birth as pure as can be? Or is it a neutral blank slate kind of ordeal? I don’t expect anyone I answer two out of those three questions. Rhetorical situations… The best times in life are rhetorical. Let’s assume life starts pure-hearted. Then add in genetics and upbringing. Are you still pure? I wasn’t. Anyway schooling gets mixed in. Being around peers for the first time in your life. That can go either way. Then adolescence, from 13-18 years old= introduction to hell. Friendships created and dissolved in a short time span. First love occurs, that early… if you’re lucky. It took until after graduation for me to start being attractive. Independence takes place soon after. Trials and tribulations gnaw at you like starving vampires and you’re their first human in years. Bills, work, school, family, friends, ramen noodles for months, red bull and coffee just to stay working, partying and boys (or girls, whatever…), survival of the fittest, and suddenly all the evil and condescending rage eats up at you. Will you let the darkness take over? Will you tarnish your purity for personal gain? People constantly using you for money or sex or labor or a laugh that will make their day yet leave you exhausted and alone at night. They say if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. Not me. Hustlers on the streets begging for a dollar, rich snobs laughing in your face, and the inevitable war within yourself. Should you defend your benevolence or allow shadows to intervene? A life undiscovered, not resolved. As humans, we have the luxury to pick our path to righteousness or repeated sin. Indulge in your urges, regardless if it hurts the ones around you. Or go out of your way to save a complex race. The choice is yours. But just to let you know, evil is weakness for they are not strong enough to keep Satan at bay. It takes more strength to save a life than to end one, especially your own. Fantasy is the best place to contain the darkness. Make it your reality and you better hope there’s no afterlife for you would get the short end of the stick. I, myself, am lost in fantasy, inside the magical worlds of infinite storytelling. It’s never too late for me to come back but keeping darkness behind is quite an endeavor. Look at me, ranting on about nothing and everything, like a mad scientist or a philosopher who got fired for daydreaming. I say, if you can’t beat ’em, keep trying because it’s never too late to formulate the perfect balance within yourself. Hope beats fear every time. Evil power always requires sacrifice. Be good for me, will ya? Have a wonderful day! Over and out.
